Let's get started with our 2006 NFL predictions.  The team that everyone is banking on to win the Super Bowl and the team that we must agree has the best shot is the Indianapolis Colts.  Last season they were on a better roll than anyone else, then all of a sudden tragedy strikes the team with the death of Dungy's son and the team never recovered.  This season all the tools are in place, minus the talented Edgerrin James, but this team still has the talent to win it all.

Our second best bet to win the title this year is the New England Patriots.  A lot of books are listed the Pats as high as 9 to 1, and this is a steal in our opinion.  When you have Belichick and Brady running the show you are going to compete every year, but the good news is that the team starts this season healthy.  If that remains to be the case then the Pats should roll through the AFC and find themselves in the big game once again.

Out in the NFC it looks to be a two team race of the same two teams that squared off in last year's NFC Championship.  Both the Seahawks and Panthers are the favorites to win the Super Bowl out of the NFC and both teams have more talent than anyone else.  The AFC appears to be the dominant conference, but these two can compete with anyone out of the other conference.  There isn't going to be a lot of competition so if you wager on either of these two teams then you are going to get a good value out of one of them showing up in the Super Bowl.  Everyone is on the Cowboys but they are in too tough of a division and will suffer late in the year because of it.  The Bears bring everyone back and have a soft schedule, but there are question marks on offense, particularly with their receivers.
