As soon as the summer draws to a close you know we are ready to
produce our 2007 Super Bowl predictions for our visitors betting
pleasures. This is going to be yet another exciting year as there isn't
one team that really stands head and shoulders above the rest. There are
teams that improved from a year ago, and top teams who did more damage than good
to their rosters in the off-season.
Let's get started with the AFC and the Indianapolis Colts. The Colts still
have Peyton Manning and his fleet of talented wide outs, but the team lost
Edgerrin James to the Arizona Cardinals in the off-season. The team did
pick up Adam Vinatieri from their rival Pats, which should give them an edge in
close games. The other team to beat in the AFC is the defending champions
in the Pittsburgh Steelers. Roethlisberger should be fully healed by the
time the season starts and they moved up in the draft to take Santonio Holmes in
order to replace Antwaan Randle El. This talented bunch of guys knows what
it takes to win a Super Bowl and has experience at all the important positions.
There is a little distraction with the owners not signing Cowher to a long term
deal prior to the year. We are going to go with the Colts to come out of
the AFC, beating the Steelers in the title game.
Even though recent history suggests
that the Seahawks are going to miss the playoffs, we don't really know how this
talented team is going to keep that curse alive. You are getting some good
value on Seattle with their 12-1 odds as the team boosted their defense.
The offense is in good hands with quarterback Matt Hasselbeck and Shaun
Alexander running the ball. Everyone is banking on the Panthers to beat
the Seahawks and for good reason as they added Keyshawn Johnson to compliment
Steve Smith. The thing is that Smith is not going to have another dream
season like last year and this is one tough division with the Bucs and Falcons
on the Panthers tails. We are going to go with Seattle to make another
appearance in the Super Bowl, but to start a streak similar to the Bills when
they lose yet again.
