While being billed as Separation Saturday, our
college football week 3 recap shows
that it did just that. If you are looking for 2006 NFL
predictions in order to win your local office pools, get off to a good
start on your NFL betting, or just want to make a few future wagers then this
is the place for you. The Washington
Redskins had a lot of momentum heading into this season after finishing
10-6 last year and making the playoffs.
The biggest offseason addition for the
Philadelphia Eagles
was the subtraction of WR Terrell Owens.
With the addition of Terrell Owens this offseason, I expected there to be
some off-the-field issues with the
2006 Dallas Cowboys.
After winning three Super Bowls in four years, the
New England Patriots
were unceremoniously bounced from last season's playoffs by the Denver Broncos
in the second round.
The Buffalo Bills
finished 5-11 last season -- including losses in six of their final seven
games -- and won't be much better this year.
The New York Jets, coming
off a 4-12 season, made a lot of good moves this past offseason that will help
them in the future.
Even though the Pittsburgh Steelers won the Super Bowl last year, the
Cincinnati Bengals
are actually the defending AFC North champions.
Cleveland Browns GM
Phil Savage went out and attacked the free-agent market early and aggressively
in order to address the team's primary holes -- offensive line, run stopper up
the middle, veteran pass rusher and No. 2 wide receiver.
With the addition of quarterback Steve McNair, the
Baltimore Ravens think
they have all the pieces in place to be Super Bowl contenders again.
The Indianapolis
Colts came within a 46-yard field goal of tying the Pittsburgh Steelers
and forcing overtime in their second-round playoff loss last season.
The Jacksonville
Jaguars have been on the fast track to Super Bowl contention the past two
years.
The Miami Dolphins
closed last season with six straight victories to finish at 9-7, just missing
the playoffs.
The Houston Texans
are entering their fifth season in the NFL and are still searching for
respectability.
Despite making it to the AFC Championship Game, last season was a
disappointment for the Denver Broncos.
The Kansas City Chiefs
couldn't get to the playoffs for Dick Vermeil in his final season as an NFL
head coach last year.
The San Diego Chargers
had the most talent of any non-playoff team last season.
Since losing the Super Bowl in 2002, the
Oakland Raiders have
regressed badly, finishing 4-12, 5-11 and 4-12 again in the past three
seasons.
The 2006 Pittsburgh
Steelers will be facing one of the most difficult things to do in sports
and that is to repeat as a champion.
After finishing 11-5 and winning the NFC East last season, expectations
are very high for the 2006 NY
Giants.
As soon as the summer draws to a close you know we are ready to produce
our 2007 Super Bowl predictions
for our visitors betting pleasures.
Our 2006 pro football
predictions are going to focus on a pair of team's that we think show a
decent value with the line set for their season win totals.
